Frequently Asked Questions

in our Boxing Club we are frequently asked the same questions from people wishing to commence training. A lot of adults are nervous about starting Boxing and they don’t know what to expect so here are a few questions and answers which we hope may help you

1-Q-What is the Legend Boxing Club?

Legend Boxing Club is a training center for boxers of all skill levels. We promote values of self-discipline, responsibility, community service and boxing in Pakistan. We welcome participants of all skill levels, but do require that you have a good attitude and show respect to all club participants.

2-Q-Who can join Legend Boxing Club?

We accept all individuals (girls & boys) ages 8 and up. We do ask that you speak to your doctor to make sure that you are physically able to exercise.

3-Q-How much cost to join the Club?

There is no application fee. You only pay for the training and  MembershipPlease meet us or Visit Our Club, Monthly dues are 3000 (PKR) for youth (8-14) and 4000 (PKR) for all adults (14 & up). All fees guarantee 30 days of training based on the date that you register.

PLEASE NOTE:  A new member must pay membership fee 2000 (PKR) for only first month.

4-Q-What are your hours?

The Boxing Club is open Monday-Friday (4pm-8pm) We are not open on weekends, except during special events.

5-Q-Am I too old to start?
The great thing about Boxing is that you can start at any age. Boxing is a self-journey. People of different ages may have different goals and desires but everyone will definitely improve upon the mental and physical state they had before starting Boxing. 90% of people training with us are Adults. Our eldest member is 48 years old. 
6-Q-Should I have started when I was a kid?
Kids are very suited to learning new skills but once they reach teenage years a high percentage drop out and then restart as adults having forgotten nearly everything. Therefore, starting as an adult without prior experience is on a par with returning adults. 

7-Q-Do I need to get fit before starting boxing?
Some people believe that they need to get fit before starting boxing and these are generally the people that never join! Boxing is what will get you fit fast so let us get you fit. 

8-Q-How often should I train every week? 
It is recommended that you take 2 to 3 private or group classes a week depending on your goals but 5 times per week is great

9-Q-Is Boxing training dangerous?
Like everything, Boxing has risks. However, compared to other sports Boxing is very low risk. The main activity that can potentially cause injury is sparring but even this can be very safe with the proper supervision and precautions.

10-Q-Do I have to Fight or Spar?

Not for all. Sparring is beneficial activity. Lot of people never wish to spar and simply want to improve fitness and self-defence. it is allow for club member, If you want to try sparring or fight send us your weight category and fill our fight proforma ( 500 PKR ) for our safety to police.

11-Q-Can I compete?
Yes, there are many competitions and generally sections are broken down by age, sex, belt or time training and weight

12-Q-I've never boxed before. Can I still train?

Yes!! Our program is specifically designed to help people of all skill levels, including those that have absolutely no experience. You will soon learn what a jab, cross, uppercut and hook actually mean.  Simply attend the appropriate class listed in our class schedule in order to train with other boxers of the same skill level.

13-Q-How do I become a professional boxer?

Different people take varying times to become proficient at Matial Arts. Matial Arts is easy to learn but hard to perfect. You will notice results fairly quickly but you should never get bored. This can depend on many things including the your ability, your instructors, the facilities and the amount of classes per week you attend. Generally it takes approx. 3 years

14-Q-What if the class is too hard for me?
At the start, you should be able to take as many breaks as you wish. If you are nervous you can also hide at the back of the class! 

15-Q-Is Matial Arts mainly a man's activity?
Perhaps originally it was considered to be so but now the female to male ratio is very even. Men and women may have different goals when Boxing and both sexes can benefit in totally different ways. Infact, women outnumber men in most of our classes. 

16-Q-I don't have any equipment?

All equipment is supplied if needed like ropes, gloves, focus pads, head gear etc., just wear comfortable clothes, suitable footwear, bring a water bottle anda sweat towel. 

17-Q-I just want to lose weight. Can I still train?

Yes! Our goal is to help people become healthier and more responsible citizens.

18-Q-Do I need to book a class?
There is no need to book a group class. Simply Meet us or visit our club. We will give you a short application form to fill out and there is no application fee. Private classes need to be booked
